yea, they charge you by the pound that's why I said a little shavings. Sometimes I wonder if their scales are off. I always put the person's phone number on the box as well.

The last two birds I shipped arrived on different days. Two boxes shipped at the same time. Go figure.

Yeah the boxes I have have vent holes on the sides so taping them would block some. Next time I'll buy the horizons. The ones I have are bigger though so for bigger birds they may be better. Who knows

I see, don't know what kind they were just triangular with holes all around I think. At the time I didn't pay much attention. I have a dozen from bell farm but haven't opened the box yet. The 75.00 ones

Yeah they are the horizons. That's what everybody uses. I think whenever I need them again I'll get them and the smaller cardboard belle farm boxes. The rooster in the horizon and hen in the brown smaller box then taped together.

It has been a while since I shipped birds, but I ship other lives via UPS. I tape boxes together to save on shipping as it is cheaper to ship one bigger box as opposed to two smaller boxes. I assume it still works the same with the post office.
