She looks nice! My girls are a little heavier than I like to see, but for winter, I figure the extra fat can't hurt. The light pullet in the pics is the one that is laying right now.

Yeah it's a Pacific Energy Super 27. I have cooked myself out many times. Only problem now is it puts me to sleep.Thanks. Looks nice, is that your stove? I put another 10 inches of insulation in the attic this fall and it is messing me up with the stove. The insulation has really helped, so I have to tone back the fires. My wife laughed at me because we slept with the bedroom window wide open all night one day last week. Got a little carried away with the stove that night. lol
Very nice. Those are nice stoves. I like the glass fronts. We put in a nice Vermont Castings stove in our old house. I got it down in the basement, but I was not going to try and get it back out when we moved! We have an "Old Timer" that was in the new house. It heats just fine, but I miss the glass front and an ash pan.Yeah it's a Pacific Energy Super 27. I have cooked myself out many times. Only problem now is it puts me to sleep.
They are work, but the exercise is good for me splitting and hauling the wood. A good stove can be very efficient, and the heat is very nice. It is hard to explain, but much nicer than forced air. When I spent some time in Arizona, I was surprised at how many people had wood stoves to take the chill off during the winter nights.Ive never had a stove. Jsut fireplaces that provide zero heat unless you are 2 ft away
The sun makes it fell a little better. Not bad feeding at 12 degrees ,something how quick yu can get acclimated.

Vermont castings get way up there. Mine is steel. Buddy that thing really gets going around 650-700 degrees. The stainless steel baffle has burn tubes that rebutn the smoke particles. Doesn't hold the heat as long as cast iron or soapstone but it gets hot in a hurry.Very nice. Those are nice stoves. I like the glass fronts. We put in a nice Vermont Castings stove in our old house.
