not really but I've shown that photo already.. I was actually looking for another photo I had of those two, but standing, similar to yours. but I coudnt find it.

Tired of dumping ice cups already. Supposed to warm up throughout the week though.

I was reading through an old poultry management book from the 50's today and they had a section on storing and shipping hatching eggs. 69 degrees is the temp at which the embryo begins to develop. Temps above and below 69 started and stopped development and reduced overall hatchability.

I believe most eggs don't hatch because of exactly that. They start to develop in the heat of a truck or whatever and then cool down at night, killing the embryo. I believe with no proof that's where a lot of deformities come from too. At least with shipped eggs. Still don't know how guys ship eggs in the heat of summer
 
Yeah I highly suggest straight to the incubator or hen. I'm convinced letting them rest on a counter like people say to do in the ac kills embryos that started in a truck

Agreed, I have had the best luck with hatching eggs early in the season. The article stated that around 60 degrees was best for storage.
