You can take it or leave it I don't give a sh*t. I've made all the mistakes your making and thought I was good. I have had guys on here help me with pens and setting up electric fences and I ask for other advice from time to time. You won't find many people that purposely let roosters go at it through the wire ever. It's a nightmare.
Free ranging rooster and penned roosters is a recipe for disaster. You can be in denial all you want but a 9 month old stag should not be in that bad of shape from a welsummer unless he's sick or something.

I hope and pray you get that sand out of your underpants you seem to have a real chip on your shoulder toward everyone that post a post you don't agree with. Everyone has an opinion but some folks need a bit of self control or better yet internet tough guys such as yourself.

i was just trying to help you since you don't seem to understand the basics of keeping any kind of chicken. I suggest you spend some time with google you will learn a lot and you won't have to swallow your pride by admitting your wrong. The wire thing with birds will leave every one of your birds with screwed up prop toes, missing nails, broken spurs etc.. if that's what your looking for or think it's cool so be it. Also if your ok with breeding a bird that got his *ss handed to him by a layer again that's your business. Have fun with your chickens and good luck. I apologize I didnt mean to hurt your feelings. Either way you can't deny that @roosterhavoc is right. It's not cool having your flock fight through wire, I myself have learned the hard way, but made adjustments. Also that McClean should've made quick work of the Wel unless he got out and fought other stags through wire beforehand.
