I want to say something, back before the laws changed, guys we had stag derby's later in the year because the cocks would start molting first. We had numerous stags show at 7 and 8 months old. Nickel stag or dime stag, they gauged the length of their spur with either a dime or nickel. Their spurs had to be set and Gameness was not a issue.

No I bring them in at night to sleep in cardboard box. Its been warm (like 80's during day).

That was their first full day out.. they'd be fine out there, but I just brought them in for no reason in particular. yea about mid 50s at night.


I have 12 that were born in the wild.. coyote ate their mother and they are just surviving out on the mountains by themselves since 2 days old.


Black hen got ate. but babies survived the attack and I think they are sleeping in a rabbit hole (beacuse I cant find them at night).
