I have some that are a three weeks old and they already started doing the circle....its crazy that they are so small but yet so strong...and once they start they don't stop until you turn off the lights....also what is everyone's thoughts about watering chicks with electrolytes and probiotics....also what about brooding on wire....? right now they are not on wire.

I put a copier paper box top with straw and feed in the cage and put them in it and they gradually investigate then take it out after a few days

Guys I'm trying to sex my grey radios. Help? I'm guessing the all white heads are stags and the ones with a little bit of black are pullet

I have 12 that were born in the wild.. coyote ate their mother and they are just surviving out on the mountains by themselves since 2 days old.

Black hen got ate. but babies survived the attack and I think they are sleeping in a rabbit hole (beacuse I cant find them at night).

Impressive. How old are they now? My twin-mother hen chicks handled a couple of nights in the 40's at two and three days old. The hens had them covered on the ground & I was afraid some of them wouldn't make it. I was proven wrong, yet again.

Just past a week now... I wake up every night when my dogs bark, I worry the coyotes will come back to get them... So I get up and yell out the window "good boy" to my dog... I noticed coyotes run when they hear human voice close by.
