Sometimes they go after June Beetles in a similar fashion where birds foraging even when sun is below horizon. The late foraging involves immature birds getting most if not all nutrition from forages rather than feeds or applied grains.

Ya the June bugs come out later in the evening. Haven't seen any here yet.

So after having all my rooster put away for about a month now, a rooster from next block over comes slowly roaming into my yard. I actually saw him crossing the road towards my house on Monday on my way to work. Looks full game, but don't know for sure. He is now roosting on top of the aviary and apparently has no plans to go home
