They are spread in pens about 200 feet apart for a given line. Two damaged birds where by change in adjacent pens. I am also backed up by my brother where he has other half of select birds that he has converted into about 40 juveniles this spring. I can get those hens ack if need be now. I am just not keen on loosing any birds to messes like this.

Muscle exposed. They are isolated. Will cover them in isolation pens.

I used super glue to close up some wounds on my RIR hens

I use iodine, blue Kote and neosporin. The key is to get plenty of blu kote all over your hands. Bigger the mess the better it works

haha.. thats the key. dont know why the spray is so wide, but at the same time just drips all over your fingers.

I got home early to treat wounds. No evidence of fly eggs on either bird. Applied additional Blu Kote. Both still on feed. They are drinking lots of water. Both currently in excellent weight partially because getting ready to resume laying. That weight may prove critical as both decline in condition during early part of the healing process. My gut feeling is the wing, as in entire wing, may need to be amputated on one. Covering with Blu Kote making so I can not determine is wing alive or gangrenous.

You tell me exactly when works for you and I'll buy the plane tickets. That way we'll get it done for sure. I'll try to save some pennies and maybe we can go out with a guide for at least a day anyway lol. Those guys at that fly shop seem pretty good.

ok. Yeah they pretty cool not like those stuck up one's that fish streams for wild trout with their own hand tied flies they tied theirself and all their getup. Gonna be a lil more than a few pennies lol but that would be cool

hasn't even been 24hrs yet don't start chopping off parts yet

I would chop off their heads and be done with it. Oh and slap the sh*t outta the dogs while your at it.
