Rushing home to screw down 51 pens. Got soaked too. I have never owned a rain jacket that actually worked
I have had my share of rain suits, if it don't have Gore tex wrote on it, it won't last very long even if it does keep you dry at first. The bad thing now days is the light weight gore tex rain wear is getting harder to find.

Yeah that's the problem. I know the heavy duty suits like sdm111 posted and the heavier suits work but they are either so heavy or stiff you can't move comfortably in them or you sweating in them. I've resorted to just wearing a wool sweater when duck hunting in the rain since it will still keep me warm, somewhat anyway. Haven't really found a solution for summer.

It's 107, 22% humidity here... glad I put extra H2O out for the birds, checked them ASAP when I got home from work... they are tearing up a cool moiste garden bed in the shade, so okay but vocal complaining. I will check again on them. This whole week looks hot...
High here in the low 80's F. Weather could not be better for sitting out watching the sun set.

I wear my husbands old yellow top part in the rain... not sure what happened to the pants... works good to keep me dry standing in the rain plus it is yellow, when it is warm I got the orange construction vest... only ignorant people laugh at my fashion choices on the job when in certain situations.

Sounds great now send that cool weather here... It is going to get hotter this week, ugh. Even with the bus ac on high I was sweating so bad, the sweat was rolling into my eyes. Could not wear sunglasses as I had to keep wiping the sweat off to see... and that started not even the hottest part of the day. My chickens want in the house, I think they remember last summer when it got hot and humid I brought them into the house to sit under a fan with cold water to drink... seriously following me around and running up on the porch all acting like they want in.

If like predicted, this being yet another El ninio year, then summer temperatures will be relatively cool with a fair amount rain. Then temps not likely to break 100 F. Will be third cool summer in a row. Then can expect warm winter, again.

WOW @Lauravonsmurf ! 107!!! I would want inside too.

We've dropped to 66 right now, but I still have coop/run fans moving to keep the skeeters from landing so easily.

Do you have a way to set up a mister or fan for your ladies?

Not right now I don't, but if it gets worse I will let them in and they can hang in a laundry basket and watch tv...Ike last time... I am thinking I got to get a mister of some sort though... I have put pans of extra water, and they get the whole back yard which has some nice cool spots.

if that's too much for you and looking for something lighter and more movement I found this maybe more to your liking
