no just when the automatic sprinklers come on. I actually need to setup an outside outlet for the timer. I just turn on the valves manually right now...

Bad year for breeding. I only have about a dozen chicks.

I actually put away most of my chickens (and chicks) and only have 6 hens free range right now and 2 are setting on clutch.

all the roosters are put away and only about 11 roosters total.

I got 3 breeding aviaries but cant get any chicks out of them. hens keep breaking eggs.

the rest are single mating pens and having issues also, some dont seem to lay, others eat eggs....

when I free range I cant stop them from hatching eggs. about 100 chicks a year normally.

Yeah I hear that, a lot of mine got bested by disease and chicken pox, medicine and anti biotic has been hard to get around here anymore, but I figure....SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.I still managed to hatch up keep around 30 stags, I will cull more depending on how they develop later on but I'm happy. Pics coming soon

Medicines don't substitute for piss poor management. May not apply just figured I'd throw it out there.

No diseases at all this year. I am happy about that..

probably because I dont have as many... no crowding
