Years ago I got off work and went deer hunting on no sleep. Drove 4 hrs to the mountains. -10 was the temp. Got there a little early, fell asleep in the car. My feet were frozen solid, from running the heater on the way up. when I woke up about an hour after sunrise. I couldn't even walk. Long miserable drive home and didn't even hunt. Lesson learned. I've done some dumb sh*t over the years.

My worst on is still fresh in my mind from about 15yrs ago. Going duck hunting a friend and I paddling a pirogue down the lake shore is was so cold by the time we got to the blinds our guns wouldn't rack cause of ice from paddling we had to build a fire. The paddle home I thought I was gonna die we was both cold and wet

I've showed you pics of the one place I duck hunt. Pretty much just little impoundments off the marsh. Well two years ago I'm paddling the kayak and it was so foggy I couldn't see sh*t. It's only about a 3-400 yd paddle. Well I'm about to beach the kayak at the spot where I wanted to hunt. I look up and wonder how the h*ll my truck got way out here. True story! In my defense I was sick and should have stayed home. I paddled around in a circle all the way back from where I started and I didn't even know it, the fog was that bad. Don't believe I saw any ducks that day either.

How does one salvage a spur largely broke off by pen fighting? Display birds bolted across yard, flew over a fifty foot weed patch to fight just seconds through wire before I could get there and grab him. In little bit he busted left spur. Still attached but if not treat is will come off. I want to try and salvage this because intact spurs used for looks..

Well I dont know much... But just spitballing this... Superglue or the luquid stiches stuff which is medical grade Superglue... Or maybe horse hoof repair stuff... I am just tossing ideas out. These might not work as you all are way more knowledgable on medical stuff... Unrelated there is a video on sowing feathers onto game fowl apparently has something to do with traditional practices out of India or Pakistan. Not sure why but I think I am guessing why right.

If it's broke off at the leg but hanging in my experience it won't grow back. If it's cracked real close I would clean it up real good and wrap it with vetrap in the natural position and hope it fuses back together. If the spur is still attached to the leg and just beat up pretty good it will still take some sanding, cutting as it grows to keep it from going all screwy.
