I have friends that are police officers. Most try to just get through the day without having to deal with anything crazy. I'll also throw this out there, I was bitten by a neighbors pit bull. The three of them roam loose and I was taking a walk around the neighborhood. I'm so glad my daughter wasn't with me. The three of them came up to me wagging their tails and wanting to be petted and sniffing me. I do not pet other people's dogs unless they say it is OK and I didn't want them circling around me and following me on my walk. So I kept walking, they went back to their yard. Well on the way home, it was dark, I was using a flashlight. I didn't even hear them come up behind me. They were silent. The first idea I had that they had come back to follow me was when one of them latched onto my arm. Luckily I didn't panic and scream or try to jerk my arm away, I just stared at him until he let go and they ran off. But I did have a nice handy flashlight that I could at least break some ribs with if I had to. I walk with a gun now. Because the county did zero to make the owners contain their dogs. They shut them up for 3 days then turned them again. They weren't even liable for my hospital bill, since the dog had never bitten anyone before. My husband said he let me go and they backed off because he tasted the concentrated evil coming out of me. It went from wagging tails and wanting attention to sneaking up behind me and biting me 15 minutes later. Not even close to their yard, walking on the other side of the road. No, I wouldn't have trusted those dogs either. But at the same time, I damn sure wouldn't have even gone into that backyard. A false alarm can be handled by a phone call to the homeowner and a simple knock on the front door by an officer. No reason for them to even go to the back yard.

I don't want to shoot a dog... but I honestly can't afford a hospital visit because somebody has a sweet wonderful dog that they let roam lose that also decides to bite me. I don't let a strange dog come close to me anymore, regardless of breed. The most vicious dog we've ever had to deal with was a neighbors schnauzer. It tried to guard our yard... from us. Tried to keep us from getting in our own cars. It got the pellet gun until it quit coming close to our house.

I worry about my own dogs in this situation. Our pyr is scary. I usually always go to the backyard through the backdoor. One day my husband went to come through the gate, it's a privacy fence so she can't see. She heard that gate and she was on it. Running and growling, she was going through that gate to get whoever it was until she saw it was my husband. We put a lock on it because I don't want her getting shot, or get sued for her biting someone trying to come in our yard even though there are beware of dog signs everywhere, just for doing her job and guarding the yard from anything that doesn't belong.

The whole deal with police is ridiculous. On TV, I hear people call for gun control, and say the police should be the only ones with guns. That gun owners shouldn't be trying to do the job of the police. Then the same exact people will turn around and treat cops like shit and call them racist murderers and call for police to be disbanded. It's like... ok, so do you still think we need gun control because we have police or do you want to take your protection in your own hands now? Lol. Because criminals will always have guns. I'd like to be able to shoot back if I was being shot at.

I haven't had much trouble with cops. This is a small town, good old boy mentality. So me personally, I have no problems. But not everyone is so lucky. I still only count those officers as my friends when they are the good ones. The next town over the whole city force is corrupt, I hate every single one of them. This town is too small for cops to be dicks too much. Because everybody knows their mama and they'll talk to her in church about him. Lol.

I honestly think the bigger the town, the bigger the police force, the more problems there are. I like living in the middle of nowhere and not being bothered. I could never live in a big city again. I like boring. The small town I live in is pretty boring. A few things happen every year that are still news years later. Certain things... they turn a blind eye to. They catch hell every time they arrest someone for pot. The people in the community have outlets to let our sheriff and police force know when they disapprove of something. Big cities don't have that as much, because they don't know all those people. We need to ban big cities. Spread everybody out into little communities with a small local police force that they all know.

Big cities? Anybody wanting to move there should be on their own, the police can't solve all those crimes anyway, they don't have time. So why bother?

Most people here that have issues with the police get arrested constantly for shoplifting (I've caught the same turd in my store multiple times), breaking and entering, or they're eat up with meth and no they shouldn't have been driving or they sell meth.

need to make you some 4x5 dome pens if you're gonna start messing with games

My gazebos come out to a little over 19 Sq ft. The 4x5 would be 20sq ft, so close. I don't keep more than 2 birds in them though. So just pairs. I can't keep too many roosters. Right now I have 3 roosters. I live out in the middle of nowhere but I am in a subdivision that used to be farmland. I have a few neighbors that probably already hate me. Lol. At the most I have had 7 roosters. That was the point our closest neighbor sold their house. Hahahaha. So I don't want to get up that high again.

All while making $70k on up in areas where the average salary is half that. Change the laws back to where people can lawfully protect themselves and give them their tax money back, problem solved.
I bet they wish they got paid that much here. They start out at under $10 an hour around here. They have to want to be police to take that job. I could make that much at walmart. Lol.

You'd like this havoc on a 25,mph street people use as a cut through from one highway to another the sheriff office was using s field to hide for s speed trap. About a week ago the owners put no trespassing signs out. Stopped that shit quick

Yes sir. That's the thing. Speed traps and stuff like that are just about self sustainability. They have to write so many tickets to pay for their own existence which blows me away since taxes also go to fund them. I guess they need the extra money for the patrol escalades, explorers and mustangs.
