I thought about it but I figured a 1/0 hook was a little much for em. Not to mention no weed guard in the world was gonna keep that sh*t off the hook.
Fishing was slow today and I dumped my coffee in the canoe. Absolute mayhem.

I've caught them with a 4/0 hook in Stanley ribbit frog and a Texas rigged lizard, they'll eat just about anything you put in front of it. You definitely need a weedless hook or Texas rigged. Release? I'm not releasing one unless it's to small.

No sh*t. I didn't think they'd eat something so big. Nah I was joking about releasing them.

Yes, as a kid before learning how to handle them properly. Had happen more than one since when a stag or pullet tried to fly through window of car. Flights where fast and trimmed out like a quail or pheasant. No actual panic there, just extremely abrupt stop.

Has anyone had a stag go crazy after moving and commit suicide from hitting a solid roof?

I've had everything on the yard spook when a little kid came running through the pens, but not from just moving their pens.

They will eat a bird or another frog half their size. They shrews around my ponds and those are nasty critters.

Occasionally I'll feed the birds wearing a hot pink evening gown. They don't like it much.

Seriously if someone they don't recognize walks through the pens they'll go nuts. Bright colored clothing. Red shirts for example.

They also don't like camo shirts. Came home from duck hunting one day and still had a max 4 shirt on and jeans. They went ballistic. I took it off and they were fine.

Around here they're known to take down full grown bucks on occasion
