How effective might a snare be against Bobcats? Looks like the abundant rabbits finally pulled on in.
I don't have bobcats where I'm at and there's a closed season on them in the state. I have no experience with snaring them but I know guys elsewhere that do. It's not difficult to snare them but keeping them alive is a different story. Many times they choke themselves down.
 
Here's a dp on a cable stake. You can either dig them up or just leave em and set stakes in various places.
Just attach with s hooks. An s hook tool comes in handy and they're cheap enough.

We do not have Bobcats either, at least as general public is concerned. That is why they are behind Walmart in the middle of Jefferson City and sleeping within enclosure around my teaching quarry just over 1/2 mile from governors mansion.

I like to use extension cables whenever possible. It's easier and much lighter hauling around. If needed you can connect as many as you need to reach an anchor point. Although the longer it is with a snare the more likely they will tangle and it will then become a killing snare.
