I am Feeding a mix that an old timer here in Texas mixes for me and my brood stock is already in full plum and since winter is coming on I switched to that feed instead of conditioner

and I give the hens the same feed I have 10 game hens and there all laying right know 4 of them are sitting right know on there clutches

I feed all mine in feeders only thing I feed on the ground is scratch

are your birds on tie cords or are they in flight coops

I only use my feed cups if I feed them fresh veges and or wet feed other than that I feed my birds 4 oz of feed on the ground while they are in there flight coops so they can scratch and get exercise dont like a fat bird theyll get a feed cup when on tie cord during the summer dont like to feed the wild birds leads to a fowl pox out break in your yards

Feed cups although I have one of two stags that will deliberately drop the food and peck from the dirt.


As for the water, I just use the ground.
