ya that would be tough... Do you walk or stay put and wait for someone?

Its hard to get lost in California. but I got close to not making it back before nightfall on a day hike and was getting really cold. I wasn't lost but I knew that if it got dark I'd potentially get lost or injured or something.. that was kind of scary because I wasnt prepared for it
In my case both times I knew the general area I was in on a map. The area was criscrossed with logging roads a few miles apart. I picked the wrong (further way) both times. Only a few miles but then once you hit the dirt trail which way left or right? 50% on that one. Lol. I would say it totally depends on your capability whether or not to walk or stay put. A lot depends on weather too.

I agree.
Itd be more important to learn how to farm, raise livestock, and graft trees.. things like that. How to fix things and build chicken coops. Or how to build reservoir/cistern.
Yup imo all that goofy stuff you do is far more beneficial than than stockpiling just about anything. If you think about it. The only reason people do that is because it’s so easy.

I live right near a shooting range. I see all the tools going into that place. If we ever had some kind of catastrophe or collapse of the economy these fools wouldn’t last a week. That’s why I have so many cats running around outside. Can eat good for at least 2 weeks lol

I've been through enough 3,4,5 day crisises to know to have enough stuff to last a while without power (will make my own via propane generator) or refrigerated food or water. Call me whatever I'm ready lol. Armageddon well no

That’s not being anything other than prepared. I have plenty of cases of water stored too. I don’t store food because I have a yard full of chickens and I can cook em in a few minutes.

Reminds me of the movie "The Road" .. highly recommended apocalyptic type of movie.. Very realistic I think

I think bigger worries would be more of a collapse of the economy similar to what’s happened in Venezuela. More thriving in sh*tty circumstances than actually surviving.
