Yeah I’m trying to prevent it from bistering but this finger looks like it’s going to anyway. Feels like a bad burn, the other three are just sore. That’s the same hand I slammed the wood into and then the rooster lit up. It’s a little tender to say the least.
You can't stop it, I did that to both of my hands duck hunting on a frozen lake one time. I'm getting a few pullet eggs everyday, but none of the hens have started yet.

lol, I know it sounded like I was correcting you, but 'it was far from that' i was just sharing with a friend one of the five things I picked up in the last 65 yrs. My first rooster was an Allen Roundhead in the late 50's early 60's.
didn't take it like that at all you're word is pretty much gospel to me. Good to see you back.

My father had the Allen's, they were mean as a snake. I remember when I was a kid and he'd tell me to do something with any of them I'd take off in the house and come back with a coat on so they couldn't eat a hole in my arm.

How have ya been double? How's the birds?

It seems like if it can go wrong it will go wrong for me. I had 3 special show stags, I penned the one in charge and let the other develope but they had other plans and all 3 all beat up ... knocked toenails off(pen-fighting). Maybe at 2 yrs I can get odds on them(lol).
Only good thing is I had ten more hatch out 3 days ago

This cock here is really easy to handle and he comes right up and I feed him pellets one by one. His brother however was a manfighter
