1/8 or 1/4 Galvanized mesh.

I’ll have to find some pictures I have of raccoon chewed aircraft cable. 5/64 I believe. 1/16 cable and unless caught by the neck they’ll chew right through it.
I’ve had raccoons completely destroy those cheap havahart cages too.
A couple dp coon traps is a wise investment for anyone with chickens. Then you can try out that knife.

What pisses me off about hawks and raccoons is they don’t even eat half the chicken. I’ve only had one hawk eat damn near everything. Raccoons barely eat the crop and a chunk here and there. Wasteful bastards.

Yes. They are all crosses except for the black above. I have a few crosses that you would never believe what's in them just by looking at them. I find it very interesting. Especially once I start looking at other peoples birds that are "pure"

I did a few crosses the past few years. I kept a few stags here and there and turned most of the pullets loose. Only really feed em in winter. They just run around the yard and the woods most of the year.
