Aggressiveness ≠ Gameness ≠ Soundness ≠ Ability ≠ Bottom ≠ Top ≠ Endurance ≠ Speed ≠ Disease Resistance Parasite ≠ Resistance Size ≠ Fertility ≠ Color

When you select for only Aggressiveness and Color, the other parts will eventually fail. The other components are core to what game fowl are.

Twisting someone else's statement into an extreme line of bullyshitty is low.

I am pretty sure he is just messing with you. A balanced bird is important. It is hard to directly select for performance characteristics in the females. I am not sure that being the dominant hen is just about aggressiveness.

That and I've also seen a hen be taken out for a week or so and put back in and not be on the top again or ever.

Morning SDM. I'll be darned! Learn something new every day on here. Me personally, I don't really care for that type of bird. They need to be runners and squawkers too.[/
I was just saying what I like in a bird, I personally don't have any aggression toward me on cord or pen. Kids do make things a bit rough but gotta learn the only one that goes out around the games is the 5yr old and she listens and is learning what to do and not she stays back far enough away and the biggest thing we had to work on was fast movements but she learning and I'm always around.

Now stags are completely different as you've said hormones.

My Clarets and Hatch, once in my hands are gentle, very easy to handle, BUT some of the hen/pullets are a different story(when I catch them up off yard). Those Claret pullets are like that year in and year out.(i would hope they pass the ball of fire ability own)
my mentor is where I got the idea of putting tarps on top and around half of round growout pens and separate so they can't see each other. That was my first go round with games years ago. Although I don't have any left now but that's also how a friend does it. I don't keep many anymore got to be too much like work
Not yet.. end of month. I'm stressing.

The house im temporary renting is also in escrow and closes 1 week after mine is closing. Not much buffer. Going to be really busy...
Ya new property is all ready to go. There are 4 houses on it. One tenant is staying. The rest should be moved out by time escrow closes... I hope.

Need to get a shipping container right away... because there is no garage on the property for all my machines.

I hope all goes well Shubin, pics are always welcome. How far from neighbors are you?
