I am having extreme difficulty not ordering in eggs. Silver Ameraucanas (the only thing I have worth breeding at the moment) aren't laying a thing or I would have the incubator humming by now. Perhaps I need to go outside and hang a hatchet on the wall where they roost?

I am tempted to hatch from my junk Chantecler hens just to give me chicks to mess with but that would be a poorly thought out idea. Not that that's ever stopped me before.

If I were you I would get some eggs from shubin. Should have no issues letting them run loose haha

This one, which surprised me if you look at the spurs he has. The other one was a half a pound lighter but really did a number on him. They both looked pretty bad, but the younger one bounced right back and was calling his ladies over the next morning for treats when I took him out.

lol, yeah, he stayed because he looked nice and because he worked his way to the top. Very nice bird to handle too.

It is that SDM Blue blood that did it. The little winner was 1/4 or 1/8 Blue, I would have to go back and look. He is black in color, but I will make some blue ones! I have a lady friend for him this spring that is blue.
