We try to impress upon our son and ourselves to be teachable, receptive to input from others. My wife and I try to help out at our son's school as much as possible and take every opportunity to share anything biological with the kids. Chick hatches are always a hit. It doesn't matter what age they are!

I joined the cub scouts when I was little. I was so excited only to find out I had a female den leader. Her idea of fun was crafts. I lasted about 3 weeks. I had enough when the camping trip was a tent in her backyard. I was looking for adventure!

Here a view of mine that may or not be popular. The Boy Scouts is practically a lost cause. I know it’s different everywhere but honestly they’re kinda fruity looking in that outfit. I thought about signing my son up for all that and being a leader but having to deal with all these weenie kids that parents are forcing them into isn’t my idea of a good time.

No wait. I’m lying I was in it longer than 3 weeks because I remember my dad helping me with my pine wood derby car. Definitely not too long though.

Baby chicks barely interest my son anymore. He likes collecting eggs though.
I think I’ve set the bar too high. I won’t be able to keep up. He’s been fishing/camping in Maine, NH, duck hunting, fishing out of the canoe local, shooting his bow. He likes his knife but he isn’t ready to handle it all by himself yet.

I won the pine wood derby in wilkes county that's all I got from Boy Scouts is more need for speed. It was pretty sweet I won like $50 a trophy and got put in the front page of the paper I stayed in it roughly a year.

I also shot my brother in the hind end with a BB gun for getting on my nerves as a kid I told him before hand I was. He never told on me for that I also put like a brick of firecrackers under the seat of his ride on toy but he was willing on that we done alot of crazy stuff but was always outside getting into something.

To add to my youth I also got a 91 firebird for my first car at 14 well learned a lot working on it anyway long story short I had my license for 5days and got 8 tickets and lost the car permanently and license for 2years and 150hrs of community service at the lan feild and also ya gotta pay to do community service folks. See pine wood derby winning wasn't a good thing lol.

I ran once. Got away too. Don’t recommend it. Shaking so bad I could barely keep my foot on the gas. These are things I’m trying to prevent with my son.
