Is that just a plastic polish to clear them up?

basically just wipe on in circular motions till it starts squeaking then buff off with rags. Basically a cutter (prolly powdered glass and a liquid wax type medium) all you're doing is water sanding it basically same concept as sohc said except his way will yield better results. His way will last longer too cause he's sealing it with clear. This is just a cheap less time and material consuming quick fix but it only lasts a few months cause it's not sealed. Kinda you get what you pay for thing. I don't have the means or time to do it the lasting way (sohc way) but it's good enough for me. It would be more feasible for me to buy new ones off eBay
I have to do all 3 of our vehicles so I'm used to it some apparently have better more sun resistant plastic than others

Also a good option if you have the means, access and time to clear new ones then you don't really have to worry about them for awhile.

All options have their pros and cons I'm not against any. Figured I'd just throw a tip out there for anyone interested. Also you want a longer lasting tire shine? kerosene mixed with black paint works wonders believe it or not haha.

Start with some 600/800 grit work your way up to 3000 with wet paper either by hand or a da (they make hook it wet sanding paper for DA's with Velcro/hook it pads ) Mask off any plastic or rubber you wouldn't won't over spray on and clear coat. I usually do three coats of average clear nothing expensive or special something like nason or kamo clear etc etc (that kamo is half decent for 60ish a gallon little dryback) first and second coat heavily reduced last coat like expressed on can mix ratio go with a medium reducer. Results last quite some time but unless you have the stuff to do it laying around it may or may not cost you more than new headlights depends on the vehicle.

Results last quite some time but unless you have the stuff to do it laying around it may or may not cost you more than new headlights depends on the vehicle.

Thanks, for the info! I don't have the stuff laying around... It is an 09 Tacoma. I have worked with acrylic and so have the polishes for that. They worked pretty well, but not like new.

New headlights seem like a better option for most and do them both at the same time. Pretty damn annoying to have cars coming at you with one bright light and one dim with the new light aimed too high.

You too? I always change both bulbs at the same time! It annoys me when they don't match or are missaligned. lol

Kerosene works great to flush bottom ends of 2 and 4 stroke bike engines too

Also does wonders on old gummed up fuel tanks that and a chain inside the tank many uses.

Try some plastx it'll work for you and a couple coats of regular car wax may slow the oxidation I should try that

Most of my auto experience is with a Jeep. Helluva lot easier to work on, cheaper and more available parts.
