I am going to rear 40 games to maturity from a single cross this year. Really hitting a wall with how to keep them on property and out of reach of owls. Hoping to get them to move down towards woods to forage, but then need to fence out fox, coyotes and darn bobcat. Too many rabbits means bobcat.

Depends on the cross. If you use a homozygous grey stag over a black hen, all of the resulting stags will be grey.

STOP my apologies gentleman, it has been a long day. I completely screwed the explanation up. Black stag over grey hen you get all grey stags and no grey pullets. Silver stag, think all white like Flypen's brood fowl over black hen, you get all grey stags and pullets. Here is the kicker. Grey/Reddish stag x black hen, you get half grey, half black/red stags and half grey, half black/red pullets.

What amazes me is the grey that at least 90% of our greys today are related to (The Madigan Gray) came out of the Madigan Claret.
And the majority of our old red lines used today had gray blood bred into them and it never shows.

Join the club. I’ve been chasing foxes both reds and a grey. I have the best coyote/fox loads out and still haven’t connected. Probably made it worse since now they will be red light shy. I’ve shot twice but the brush where they’re hanging back in is just too damn thick. I’m gonna have to hang snares I think. Legs are ripped too shreds from the latest fiasco chasing the bastard through the woods in my drawers. Then blackberry bushes and thorns are rough on my delicate legs.

Corid? Feed store by me sells it. Or the other stuff? Can't buy anymore?
You cannot buy water soluble antibiotics anymore. Corid isn’t included since it’s only use is for cocci. It’s the broad spectrum antibiotics that all the farmers run constantly. This is old news. Went into effect Jan 2017.
