My Radio Hens with the Grey have been busting eggs left and right. Out of 3 clutches I've only got 12 chicks. This is the first year this has happened too. They're not even spurred. I started upping their calcium intake every since the 2nd incident thinking maybe they're low on calcium producing delicate eggs or something. Been 3 weeks and so far so good.
I haven't had broken eggs, but the clutches have been smaller this year, compared to last year. Perhaps it is the persistent cold spring that is deterring them.

I dont think I have problems with spurred hens breaking eggs anymore than non-spurred. I am a fan of the spurred hens and majority of mine come that way.

I get broken eggs when not enough straw in nesting box. Or when multiple hens fighting over a box.

One of my best hen keeps eating her eggs... I need to do something different.

If she will lay them in a nest box, try making it as dark as possible inside. If she drops them on the floor and then eats them, I am not sure how to fix that.

ya I think I'll rotate the nesting box so the opening is less visible. maybe change pens if that doesnt work...

To be honest I jsut dont see eggs... dont know if she eating or not laying...
