Story with these Fowlers Toads in breeding mode. Boy and I were doing a little extension work when he informed me I was stepping on a snake. I looked down to see what looked like a hognosed snake. It was a water snake eating a female toad while male toad was jumping the snake's head. Snake released toad after I stepped on it. Female toad then crawled to male calling and he jumped on her.

This little brown-breasted brown red stag is smart as all get out. He flies in and out of pens looking for water and treat caches. If he sees me working on bench he flies up to see what I am looking at.

I like that type of bird. I have two stags that follow me around the yard when I am out. They are first in line for treats!
