I got news for you chief. If that little girl can hold that rooster like that his temperament is just fine.

I suggest you handle him as often as possible though. My guess is you have never seen a real mean rooster. Them blacks have it in them believe me. Might even have to put your big boy pants on.

This hen is being unpleasant. She stayed near me all night and even went with me on a run to get stockers. She was in truck from about 0645 to about 1600. Pecks like a dickens and even took to flogging when a chick fell between seat and passenger door. She was left exhausted and now my right hand and forearm are sore. She does have pretty chicks and I will break her by Saturday.

She gets along with my kids great, but public does not need to see her trying to kick my backside.

He's just a mean mf. I want my pesos back! All 40 of them!

When I got him from you he handled just fine. It was when he was dubbed that pissed him off.
Hey buddy, she can hold him like that because of the amount of time I've been handling him. He's all gravy now. Occasionally he will approach the side of the pen when I'm near like he's going to do something, he doesn't kick or anything, but sure looks like he's about to. That's the behaviour I'm trying to diminish currently.
