I can't imagine not providing shade for the birds in this Texas heat. Poor birds, just a couple more months and then the good weather kicks in. Soaked oaks to keep the birds hydrated is about the only trick I have up my sleeve.

What do y'all like to do for the birds during heat waves?

lots of shade... hose down the roofs and shade cloths during mid-day heat.

We always want what we don't have... It has been way too wet this year, some dry days would be nice!
One hen hatched 9 out of 9 yesterday and a second hatched 5 out of 9 today. All the chicks looked good, but the 4 eggs that didn't hatch were rotten.
