After spending some time with him today, and letting him out the yard to mingle with the hens, the boys were on the competelty opposite space, have not let them come in contact since, you know last time (don’t wanna keep him separated twenty four seven without any other chicken contact),I kind of like him,but I also like my other boys just as much, gosh, this leaves me stuck with options.I don’t want to give him to an inexperienced keeper,I know a lady who keeps regular barnyard roosters,I got my bantam Cochin from her, have her Zeus’s sons as well.At this pojnti have not found anyone who keeps games, they will likely think he is an average rooster like me.

Game is game and will not tolerate any other male presence.

In my opinion... If you kept him free range, he would eventually rule the yard and chase away (or beat up) the other roosters if they got to close to him or hens.

They could get away if they have enough room. But if your game is real aggressive he might corner them and do some serious damage/death.

I have had accidents and found one or two dead roosters from fighting while away I was at work.

The only way to keep him without issue is to put him in a pen by himself or better yet with a hen or two. As long as you prevent other roosters from approaching his pen all will be fine. If you have roosters just running around eventually they will taunt the game rooster into wrecking himself from inside his pen.

So,there is absolutely no way, this guy could ever see a future living with ANY males period?Even if they were submissive?
I’m struggling finding him a home and would honestly hate to eat him (I do not even kill chickens),and very seriously doubt anyone wants to do the dirty deed of cleaning and plucking him, plus,he isn’t really a big guy,so I ain’t too sure of what meat I’d get off of him.

Me and my wife just added two roundhead hatches to our flock, they were given to us. At least that's what we were told they are. They seem to be getting a long okay with each other, other than the pecking order haha. Problem is I can't seem to find any information online about them other than people fighting them :( does anyone know how their egg production is?? I've never had game fowl before. I'll try and get some pictures posted in a little while!
