No cookies. But I did eat a brownie earlier.Have some milk and cookies. I see something brewing and it is bad, even from your point of view. Open your eyes.
Gamefowl hens lay for survival of their gene pool with intent to go brood and hatch them. Sometimes lay one a day during their peak, but will stop laying to start brooding after a few have gathered.Me and my wife just added two roundhead hatches to our flock, they were given to us. At least that's what we were told they are. They seem to be getting a long okay with each other, other than the pecking order haha. Problem is I can't seem to find any information online about them other than people fighting themdoes anyone know how their egg production is?? I've never had game fowl before. I'll try and get some pictures posted in a little while!
Thank you for your reply! They seem to be staying up on the roost all day today (just got them yesterday). I think they're afraid to come down because the other hens are a little mean to them. I'm assuming this is normal and will pass in a few days? It’s a chicken. All the same applies except for keeping the males separated once they reach maturity. Some hens will be better off kept separately too. Depending on where you live and weather conditions most gamefowl hens lay spring through fall and usually quit through the coldest months.
