the winner is currently housed by himself away from everyone else out of sight, he was going crazy still trying to get to the other stag and trying to get to the black hen so i figured he would have to be watched. I wasnt going to put anyone together, now I was just thinking about down the road. starting my observations now. what got me thinking was I was looking at how they are 3 different colors and i was thinking to myself "color is the last thing i should be looking at", then i thought, "whats the first thing?"

"whats the first thing?"
Skills... For me, there is sometimes a clearly dominant stag and then others down the line try to work things out when young. Or sometimes it is a battle for dominance. I am just speaking from my observations, but your young stag is not "damaged" enough to look like a really serious scuffle yet. For some their heads swell up for a bit and they have settled things for a while. Sometimes pulling the dominant stag creates more chaos in the group. Just my observations, so take it for what it is worth...

he looks much better then the other one, the other kept falling to the ground and this guy was pecking at his head, seemed serious enough to me lol I separated the looser out for a couple hours till he got his wind back. there is another rooster in with the group that i'm trying to get rid of, he is the real dominant rooster in the flock right now. he has size going for him now but i understand i need to get rid of him soon, when that stag is grown I know he wont stand a chance

I did try to put the separated stag back next to the others and he flared his neck instantly and went back at it / I will try again per yalls advice

I didn’t even notice the pic. I thought it was an ad.
Yeah once they go they won’t stop. They just don’t have enough gas in the tank yet.
You should be able to let them all still run a bit longer I would think.
If I were you I would definitely let them go. You’ll know when they need to be penned or when you waited just a little too long.

How are you keeping them? Are they loose in the yard?

I have an enclosure that is 10ft x about 30ft that was previously used for laying hens that is left open during the day, they hang out in the woods mostly
Gotcha. Yeah they can get away from each other then. As long as you let them out early enough in the morning you should be able to get a couple more weeks at least out of them. I pretty much do the same, some are out 24/7 too.

As far as pullets I'd give the females a good bit before making a choice and watch them closely. I wouldn't put a young stag with any females for along while like havoc has done said some do ok others will beat or kill them, no use in rushing things take your time trust your gut and ask questions if unsure.
