I don’t understand why some people will keep birds alive that are clearly failing. They’ve given them all kinds of medicine, magic fairy dust, put them in a hyperbaric chamber, massages and none of it works. That’s a sign. Let it go.
$500 or more later and a $20 chicken is still belly up.
Just about all the medicines that worked long before I was born still work (although they may sting) perfectly fine.

Probably because the info on here about sickness and injury comes in two flavors. Mayhem and vetericyn
1. The bird only has one leg and one wing. “Give her some eggs and tuna and she should pull through.
2. There’s a chunk missing from my hen. Opposum did it. Neosporin is the cure.
3. Hen not acting right. Hit her with baytril, aspirin, pain pump and a five course dinner.
Most cases of sickness are pathetically weak birds from incubators or hatcheries then inbred beyond belief in someone’s backyard.
