How high should a fly pen be and how high should roost be? I've been told 8ft with roost at 5 or 6ft

I’ve got 46 dome pens. 4x4, 4x5, and some 4x8. Four wooden 4x8 pens, 1 fly pen, 3 coops and 6 drop pens. I had a dozen tie cords but I’m down to about 9-10. Lawnmower got a few. No birds though.

Too many!

Don't ask me they are 100 different ways to skin a cat. I've seen one with feed at top of 6ft roost and that roost was maybe 2ft long. Mine personally the roost is right around 5ft give or take cause it's on a sloop as is most the land here nearby the house.

Havoc helped me with my breeding domes as I wanted something I could get in a lot easier. Now my stag domes are 4x4's with jump roost down the middle of pen with water on one side and feed on the other.

I already had wooden pens but then Sdm helped me with the domes. Seems like a lot of guys use some form of dome type shape. They work well for snow too because it will usually just slide off instead of collapsing a flat roof.

Dome pens are lot cheaper than wooden pens and you can move them wherever you want. I dont move mine that often but I have moved them all before.
They are a bit of an eye sore but whatever I don’t really care. Lol
