All BS aside I won’t hesitate to cull a rooster for being mean to hens. Stags don’t count you have to give them time to mature. A peck or even a kick here or there is no big deal. I had one just wailing away on two different hens in the pen. I killed him immediately. He was a great bird otherwise but that’s ridiculous.

A good rooster should only want to love his ladies and "not love" other roosters or so I've been told, but agree that's a good standard to go by.

Hector is excellent with his ladies! With me now as well. Has come a long way. Matter of fact I didn't even separate him from his ladies. There has been no bickering or nothing. They're all molting too.

Buddy I can't walk past or near his pen holding a rooster/stag without Hector locking in on him almost instantly. That boy itchin. Hes just a beast, his kiddos take after him too in many ways.
