It's only 5' tall, so yeah, they could have flown over.

Havoc's right they could have easily flown over. My kelso pullets from this season can easily be found 30+ft up in the trees, I've seen em fly from our porch to the back side of barn which is pretty far aswell and they are pleasantly plump from being free range birds.

If ya got the room I'd keep em.

I am breaking half dozen to intensive handling now. Mine will be used to keep me in broodies with chicks throughout 2019 production. Do not need the chicks, need groups to take to work to educate public. Can't beat game hens for that.

I was gifted a half and half rubel hatch, brown red today from a good friend. He's a little firecracker. Don't know what I'm going to do with him yet but he showed good signs today at his house
