Aww she's working on it! I love it when they're tiny and their beards start to take shape - it's almost like they need to grow into them at times!

Love these! I love the black beard on your rooster! Beards on chickens given them the BEST facial expressions - one of our hens has a funny beard and eye brown feather situation going on that gives her a resting annoyed at the world face.

“The Wheatens” my two Ameraucana girls. Almost always together these two bearded sisters lay beautiful blue eggs. With the current mud and snow situation here their beards are usually a mess but they don’t seem to mind at all.

“The Wheatens” my two Ameraucana girls. Almost always together these two bearded sisters lay beautiful blue eggs. With the current mud and snow situation here their beards are usually a mess but they don’t seem to mind at all.

Their eyes look so dark against their fluffy light beards! Do they sit and clean each others beards? Mine will snuggle up and just do long grooming sessions and cluck at each other as if they're telling them how messy they are.
