I switched to Purina Mills Honor Show Chow. However, last week I found out our local Farm and Home store has a different brand that has tagetes (or marigold extract). I am gonna start using that, as it is $12.95 a bag, and the Purina is $20.75 a bag.

I don't know what age is a good age to process them. I am just gonna do it when I have time.

Thanks Kathy!
Noodle did taste good. I tried to get an answer from DH if he liked Noodle better than the cornish x's we have done in the past. He gives very non comittial answers

I am surprised that he did not tell the Justice of the Peace "Maybe" instead of "I do"

He's so funny... when he hears the 4wheeler, he'll run to find it, and then run after us, if we're not stopping to feed/water his coop

(He knows the 4wheeler usually brings the food!) He was a bit perplexed when I zoomed past him on Monday chasin after a rogue cow

Alright, I give...Uncle! Everytime I post, somethin happens

Predator got everyone in the above pictures but my Del Roo, Big Guy, last night. Most likely a coon, judging by what was leftover. Shoulda known somethin was up when Big Guy was over by the house instead of at the coop (over 1000yds apart)

This is the first coon. We finally got the skunks all killed and run off, now this. I feel so awful

Between w legged predators and 2 legged thiefs, I'm not sure I have a safe spot on my property anymore

Glad them coons are ending up in your traps and not in your coops

I'm so sorry, Nicole! That's awful! Wish I had some Dellies to let you have. I do have a Delawegger boy available, but that's it.

Almost lost Isaac today to the heat. He turned purple and couldn't breathe. Had to wet him down and cool him off quickly. Even Suede does much better in a high heat index than Ike does. The Delawares are not as heat tolerant as you'd think, probably due to their dense musculature. It's the only thing I can think of that would make them less heat tolerant than the Orps and Rocks.

Thanks Cyn, I preciate the thought.

Glad you were able to get Isaac cooled quickly, poor guy. He's a big beautiful boy!!! Its just been so dadblastid hot lately. I hope we get a break in the weather soon, I know we could all use some relief!!!
