I am sorry. I vaguely remember that.. been super busy. Wherebouts in Central VA are you and will you be attending any shows this fall. I will be at the Frederick show and maybe the Warrenton one if they still have it this year.
Do you have any boys that are breeding age? and could you pm/post a pic. I am not interested in showing them but would still like to breed toward the standard.
sorry but we ate him. i have culled down to a rooster and hen from joletabey, a whitmore hen, and am picking up a harter hen in a week or so. these will be all i keep for the winter. will hatch out a bunch next spring and try to pick the best 3 pullets out of those.

I plan to go to Crossroads. I might have an extra rooster I could bring for ya.
Here, take your pick.
This is my rooster grow out pen, and these guys will be in my freezer soon.
Here is one boy I am hoping turns out well. I really like him so far, but he is very very young.
I have a couple pullets growing out that I am liking so far, too. This pale legged one is one of my favorites. She has such grace when she walks or strolls around the yard. I like the way she carries herself.
I like that you are talking through it too. I was watching it and saying things about the delawares about 10 seconds before you said them.
It was like we were having a conversation

LOL I'd be happy to make a video showcasing the Speckled Sussex. I'll try to put one together tomorrow. I haven't done it yet because I haven't paid as much attention to their development. I suppose I will probably put some in a breeding pen and hatch some eggs, but I won't be spending near as much time trying to improve my speckled sussex as I will be my Delaware.
