Time just flies by in my old age!

Anyway, she looks just great, Jeremy!

She's still lookin' good for an old girl - a testament to your care. All your birds are in great condition Jeremy. ...stan

One of my oldest girls, Yvonne, she'll be 4 in March.

What does the BV stand for? They are American Class, right? I assume BB is best of breed.............

Does he have some yellowing of his feathers or is it just the camera lighting?
BV is Best of Variety... I think. But that doesn't make sense with Delawares because there's only one variety and BB already meant Best of Breed. Yes it's in the American Class. This is the first time I've taken photos with my new iPhone. They didn't come out very well, he did not have yellow coloring. I'm wondering who this bird belongs to? He was one of the few at this show that would pose for me, btw.

I have 2 hens and 1 ro, I will looking for ladies this spring so I can breed Hansome and get a few more to start working with, I don't really want to order from a hatchery, but maybe another line from another hatchery, besides cackle......to mix in some immune boosting genes..... and maybe a bit better type than my girls...... so anyone selling any chicks this year? I finally made enough posts to upload some photos of my Delawares. They are a work in progress just like everyone's. But after four years of hard work I am pleased with the great distance we have come. I put the photos in my album as I don't know how to put them in a post yet. So click on my album titled 2011. Thanks, Bea

Wow Bea, your birds are looking just gorgeous. I am just getting started but determined to get there! Absolutely love the body on your roo and hens!!!! Congratulations, your hard work is paying off!
Do you happen to have any pics of your foundation breeders from 4 years ago that you could post or PM me so I could see the comparison from then to now??

Thank You Kathy that was great!

Zanna most of the old pictures are on my old computer. I need to retrieve them anyway, so when I get time I'll try to put some up.

The avatar is one of the old hens from 2009. You can see the difference in her head shape and neck color.

The 1st and 2nd rooster pictures are of Lewes who is the father of the pullets and the 3 rooster pic is his son also. His son has darker color and is still developing I think.

I don't keep many birds but I hatch a lot and cull hard. I always pick for body type first.
