Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Well I got my 2nd Bantam Delaware baby yesterday and this one was the right color. YEAH!!!! My little black Delaware mixed baby has a cute little beard and muff like his daddy. I need to get photos.

He, and I say he because I know it is a little rooster, is the same size as all of my other Bantam chicks, so tiny and cute! I noticed the little beard and muff this morning and he was just a cheeping away when I came in the the brooder room. I was also greeted by me LF Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas that escaped their brooder and were running around like little maniacs, so cute!

I am in LOVE with these guys. I am getting more eggs from Jean. The chicks are very sweet, at first they would fly right up on to my arm. Now we are in what I call the "Godzilla" stage but we will get thru it. I have quite a few more Delaware eggs to go over the next few weeks so I am excited to see if there are anymore rogue black chicks.

Good luck with your hatch, I can't wait to see the BBS Rocks.

Herechickchick, I bet your chick is adorable!

I am firing up my camera and am going to take pics of the young adults--I am confused on their hackles. I don't know if I am seeing columbian in there or if they are just nice and dark.

I have been trying to ignore the Delawares because it is driving me crazy trying to figure out who goes and who stays. So if I don't look at them then no one goes.

But it is time to start moving a few out.

I have 18 Delaware eggs boxed up and ready to ship.

I was supposed to send them to a lady in West Virginia, but they are snowed in. I contacted the Post Office, and they said there were delays. Of course, I didn't think to check until AFTER I had bubble wrapped all the eggs and packed them in the box.

I really don't want to unwrap them all.

Anyone interested in them? It's $12 plus shipping.

Here's the daddy.

And here is one of the mommies.

They are nice and fresh, less than a week old. They should go out today or tomorrow if possible.

No, these are from the Seriousbill line. The Braden line hasn't started laying yet. They are just 16 weeks old, so I expect them to start sometime in the next month or so.
