Hey everyone! Sorry for the long absence, again. I got on a few days ago to order my BLRW!! eggs. I'm so excited, now I'm lookin for Delawares

Bill Braden has some eggs for sale, considering it... I hope everyone is doing well!

welcome-byc.gif

Cetawin, I'm sorry to hear that about Cannonball. Its good to know that she is doing good in the dog box, however mad she may be about it
lol.png

I've got a few eggs of my own in the incubator.... gotta do a test hatch before those BLRWs get here. I am so excited, its not even funny

Of course, my incubator looks like a space ship now, all wrapped up the way it is. I should take a picture of it and show it off. It really does look pretty funny.

Now i'm doing this about the eggs:

I don't even own a snow shovel!

It has been a pain though going out back to the muddy run to feed and water. Especially now that I've got not only my main run to take care of, but also the quarantine run to deal with.

Oh woe is me.

My boss sent me home early so that I could even GET home - I have at least 6 inches here and need to go out and shovel like a madwoman.

Cetawin, believe me if I could get rid of it NOW for all of us, I would. Scott, yeah, it is slushy, mushy on the roads and they may freeze tonight - you are right, that will be the real problem!

Kathy- I wish you were closer - you could just hatch everything for me!
wink.png

rrhall - you have some sweetie Dels in that group- where did you get them? Stick around and keep us posted on their development!

Delgirl- glad to hear from you, I was just wondering if you had gotten lost in the books! Get those Dels!!! If Cyn is getting out, it's up to the rest of us- and particularly all of you with 'bators!!!

Mrs. AK and Rwoman: well, pass the nice weather this way! The owner of the feed store that I frequent said the almanac (which he claims has not been wrong this year) says we will get 42 inches of snow March 15.

Scott and Cynthia, JamesA, Laney - I wonder if you are all included in that? Forget Jeremy coming for the loooooong visit here- I think we need to go inspect his coops and stuff. For about a month. Starting March 14th. Seriously!

Hi all- I hope you are all having a great day so far! Welcome to the new members and long time stalkers. I am glad you guys are joining in the Dellie fun!

I am getting excited seeing all the new chick pictures. My Lockdown is tomorrow, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

urbanfarmboi- I don't own a snow shovel either!
But, I can sympathize with those of you that have to shovel snow. I don't know what I'd do with all that snow. I am sure it would get old quick!

zephyrcreek- I can't wait to here how your test hatch is doing. I am already planning to fill the bator with MORE DELLIES after this batch is done.

Talk to you all later~ Tacey

TACEYPERKINS, what is it now in Mira Loma, like 90 degrees? L0L. I have family down there and whenever we visit I always feel like I'm melting. Yuck.

I much prefer the coastal atmosphere up here.

joletabey, I'll jump on them Delawares as soon as I can cut out my older flock. I love 'em, but feed is too high to be feeding six roosters who dont do much and 14 older hens where I only get 5- 8 eggs out of a day. Of course, I'll be keeping three of those boys, and I really hate to sell Heff and Oreo, but their type is just so off, its not worth it. I do love them though! And you will get an incubator of your own! You'll be hatchin away like all of us crazy people

I'm tired of all this wet weird weather. We havent had snow in a while (knock on wood, thank goodness) but it stays wet. Its nice and icky everywhere!

Edited to add: I pay 11.75 per 50lb sack of layena pellets. Only feed available nearest me, and the other places really are not cheap enough to drive all the way over there, so no saving.

Not quite 90 yet, but I am sure it will be soon enough. The weather has been real weird lately. Today it was windy and cold later in the day and hot and sunny this morning. Go figure.
I would prefer to live some where else cooler too, but this is where we are at now.
We have summers that get up to 115 degrees here. Thankfully the winters don't snow, because then I would deffinatly think this place was h-e-double hockey sticks!

SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO WHEN IT SNOWS ALOT? DO YOU JUST STAY INSIDE?
