I wanted to announce something completely NON-Delaware

I received 6 beautiful red roses today that had a note that reads:

I belong to an all woman's riding club we ride with iced beer, wine crackers and cheese and what ever goodies we find at Trader Joe's all my horses are "drunk broke" we just get buzzed a little out having a good time and I bring lots of water I normally drive so I have to be good

WE have guys riding with us too only time they're not allowed is on our big trail ride over 21 girls only..right now we have all the kids riding with us wanting to go camping at Montana de Oro sounding quite fine right now

And I would like to respectfully remind Jeremy that since Delawares rule the world (you do claim to be a member of the Society, don't you, dear boy?) every topic will automatically be Delaware related. SDWD!!!!

That looks like a cockerel in the picture, but I think it's an example of a Columbian Rock crossed with Delaware. As most of us know, hatcheries did breed in CRs to offset inbreeding when the Delaware population was critical. That is still haunting the breed, but not usually with tail black that pronounced as opposed to barring--I'd say that was a recent cross of the two breeds. And male. Some of the CR-influenced Del lines will have a couple of solid black tail feathers, but not as many as that bird has (usually).
