Sorry I just had to laugh. I have set down unceremoniously a couple of times going down the hill here on the grass. Then look sheepishly around hoping no one saw me.
Kathy you and Beth have beautiful roos.
I can not hardly wait to see how my three Dellies turn out. Two are very friendly at this point the other sort of standfish . My two rocks are pretty too. One is a roo.
I took pic's and then realized my camera was set on some gosh awful amt of pixles and would not down load. I have it reset and am going to take more when the heat lets up a bit.
My Stormy was so funny yesterday. I set some frozen water jugs around in their covered area. He backed up to one and it was an awwwww moment. He was indeed cooling it. Gloria Jean

Hi all. I have joined the ranks of Delaware owners.

Just bought a flock about a week and a half ago, two 1-year old hens, four of their two-month old babies (three hens and a roo), and three little three-week old kiddos from a breeder...forgot which one. Has anyone sent hatching eggs to Alaska lately?

Anyway, here they are!

Goliath, the ridiculously gawky roo.

The whole group, checking out their new digs.

Cotton, the Rex rabbit, pretending he's a chicken herder.

And one more for the road...

Very excited about them, but so far have only had about 3 eggs in 1.5 weeks, from two hens that were supposed to be laying an egg a day when I bought them...I figured it would take a minute for them to settle in....but this really seems to be going a bit long.
