Aaaah, OK, that's what I had tucked in the back of my scant brain. And Suede was her daddy, right? Who was her mom?

She is full sister to Thor...their dad is of course Suede and mom is Smoky.

One thing about Dellies Amy...they are NOT the too good for you type...they are the I am Human and want to live in the house, in your lap and eat your food type. LOL

Mission accomplished! Harriet proceeded to deliver the stinkiest, hugest poo I ever saw. I lifted her into the carrier first, and when I went to put the chicks in, Spot attacked my hand- pecked his little heart out trying to protect his sister Belle- think I have a good roo in the making, there!

Here is Emma, who by her tail and wing markings coming in already, I think may have to be renamed:

You can see why Spot is, at the moment, called Spot:

Boo is shy, here he is on the right:

Here is Belle following Emma/Edmund/whatever:

Here is Harriet, the best momma!

Do Belle and Spot look like they are black to you all?

Hope Ellen is OK!

Oh Beth, they are just gorgeous!! I never tire of looking at pictures of moms and their chicks, just the sweetest thing and Harriet looks like she's doing a wonderful job raising them! They're all such cuties, have fun with them, they grow up so fast!

Horaaaay for Harriet (and her big broody poo!) ... Black or blue? Hhmmm, that is often times hard to tell, Beth. I think that Belle could be a very dark blue.

I have some new Jersey Giant babies, and I am trying to figure out the dark blue and black also.

Beth, you were asking about the other roo. I finally got better pictures of the second adolescent roo. So, what do you all think about this boy? I think he keeps looking better and better, but I may be biased. He is a bit bigger than the first one. I like the shape of his chest too.

He is the one on the right here. See his tail coming in now.

I don't know. I didn't keep track. I love growing out these Delaware roosters, and watching them evolve from gangly adolescents into majestic birds! Crazy, huh!

Oh .... I gotta tell you what happened today. (This made me think of cetawin). I was carrying a 5 gallon bucket of water and I tripped, in front of the breeder pens. None of the chickens were really anywhere near me. I sat there for a minute (trying to figure out if I hurt myself), and I looked up and saw Jacob running toward me from WAY WAY across the yard. I thought, what the heck, is he gonna attack me? OMG .... he got up by me and turned his rear to me and just kept watch. He looked back and forth, back and forth. It amazed me. I think he was protecting me.

Beth they are adorable!

I so wish I had a broody...I have broody ducks but no chickens. I have a kung fu chicken that likes to rooster dance at my dominique and beat up my rooster. Miss DeDe is of whom I speak.

Kathy, I like him too...he is a nice looking boy for sure. Re: Jacob

reminds me of Thor...he sounds like such a wonderful boy and he looks so much like his daddy. You have been blessed with him.

Miss Cannonball is inside with her latest injury. *sigh* She decided to mix it up with someone in the coop today and had a nice bite at the base of her comb and on her head. So, I cleaned it up, put antibiotic ointment on it and put her inside in a carrier...which she is loving.

She also tried to drown herself the silly girl. She was worked up from fighting and panting so I told Cheyenne to take her upstairs and run some cool water in the tub and stand her in it. So she does and I hear this loud thud which turned out to be Cheyenne's knee hitting the side of the tub because Cannonball dunked her head, halfway up the length of her comb in the water! Cheyenne reached in to grab her up. What was that girl thinking? Chickens do not snorkel!
