Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Now isn't that just the perfect name if she IS a hen? Suedelette- hmmmm. . . has a French flair to it!!!!
If she is a he, does Seuedel'homme work or am I screwing my totally non existent French up?

Do not ask me...as rusty as my French is I would probably end up naming her fried chicken.

Must show pics of the 2 Brat Dellies.....Cannonball and Fattie. they are in the company of the gorgeous son of Suede, Thor

Thank you. I think they are doing great...Cannonball is still smaller than Fattie but that is okay. She is very close to Thor too...I sure hope she grows up to be a BIG girl...they are always together or very close to each other....I saw Cannonball snuggling with him the other day too.

my boys are starting to crow...

at least they had been. my little OEGB had been crowing for a month now, but I guess one of the cats found there way into the coop, cuz dear George is no where

I found a spot that I thought they could get in there but I was kinda sick. then a few days later-the day I went out to fix it-no George. I really miss the little guy. he was about the size of a song bird, so I can't realy blame the cat. and at least I know it happen fast, not a feather to be seen.

now the Dles are not trying to crow, cuz noone else is. but I think they will pick it back up soon...still need new pics. I'm having fun watching your birds grow with mine.

Cetawin .... gotta love your brats! They look so innocent

Beth ..... I'm thinkin' she should be, ..... ready .... >>>> ... "Ultrasuede!"
Of course, Ultra, for short!

Much easier than French! LOL

Update .... those fancy shoes did the job! Now named, "Tootsie," she has straight toes, and is readjusting her step! If you've ever had a cast on, you can relate! She's, "high steppin'," so to speak. I have kept her and her friend in the Bounty Bed and Breakfast for another day, as I don't want her fussin' around with the crowd on the bedding yet. They do quite nicely on the paper towels. Another day otta do it, and she should feel more secure with those new straight toes.

Cetawin, they look absolutely adorable. I want more baby Delawares!!!!! At least I have Libra (baby Silver Phoenix) to help with the baby chick withdrawals.

Beth, I'm with Kathy, I LOVE the UltraSuede name. Calling her Ultra for short.

Kathy, Tootsie has a name sister on my farm. It's a goat named Tootsie, although she's named after the candy...not feet. Her sister is named Fudgie.

Cetawin, Cannonball looks very much like my Gracie. Was wondering if she'd have the body size for the breeding flock, but she is broadening out now at 18 weeks old. She seemed too delicate for a Delaware, but then, I remember that a couple of my other girls didn't "chunk out" till later on, too. Truthfully, your Fattie is more what you do want to see, but genes are funny things and don't always do what you think they will when they combine.
