here is clucky lucky with her roo she never leaves his side LOL they are both running to see the new baby chicks that had their 1st outing today at just a few days old!
I figured out how to finally get my husband to help me build a new coop....FIND A BREED HE LIKES and HE WILL BUILD IT!
The Dellie coop "Coupe 9" is underway with the help of my wonderful hubby. The roof is done and we are 3/4 of the way done with the siding. Can't wait to fill it up with them....... for him.

Delawares were the first breed my husband wanted, and still his favorites! He works on the Railroad, and travels. He must sure talk alot of chicken ..... because every time he comes home he tells about all the guys that are now building chicken coops so they can have Delawares!
I just put Delaware eggs in the incubator today. Can't remember how many (30 - 35?) I can now start collecting for others that want some.
I need some advice here. I have noticed that my Del Roo is yellowed. Yes I fed him corn. How can I resist the begging? So between the sun and the corn, he looks bad.
Does anyone feed their Dels corn and they are still white? I am trying to decide if it is the corn or the sun. How on earth would I keep him out of the sun? That's just mean.
I just don't know the answer to that, Germaine. Mine are outside all day every day. No, I do not feed corn (and rarely scratch), but I know there is corn in the feed. I wish I knew the answer, too. Hope someone comes by here and tells us!
