Speaking of fuzzy butts I ended up with SIXTEEN babies! I'm shutting down the hatcher tonight. I have a few moer in, but it's not looking like they will hatch. One had issues with yolk sack and is gone now
But SIXTEEN fluffy butt babies is just PRECIOUS!

I find it interesting that they A) Have the entire standard, B) Do not use the official pictures and C) Do an excellent job of illustrating a couple of points that must be common faults. I like it a lot. Can we use the whole standard if we don't use the Schelling (is that who it is?) illustrations? I think illustrating common flaws is incredibly valuable. I would love it if we could figure out a way to do that.

Bad Emily, very bad! I have the three eggs in the brooder on a slightly warm rice bag waiting for the Hova to warm up. Darn it, I didn't want to brood babies inside this time of year again!
I need a Del pullet or three to replace layers I lost this year, including my Delaware hen, Maxie.
