Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

ok ok lol jealousy never looks good on anyone - i dont get jealous of much but let me tell you the fuzzy butts Pink and horizon have right now make me jealous! Hitting an auction tomorrow - younever know!

Speaking of fuzzy butts I ended up with SIXTEEN babies! I'm shutting down the hatcher tonight. I have a few moer in, but it's not looking like they will hatch. One had issues with yolk sack and is gone now

I was going to post this on the Del forum, but I couldn't decide where it should go!

Check out the standard page on the Wyandotte Club: http://www.wyandottebreedersofamerica.net/apastandard.htm

I
find it interesting that they A) Have the entire standard, B) Do not use the official pictures and C) Do an excellent job of illustrating a couple of points that must be common faults. I like it a lot. Can we use the whole standard if we don't use the Schelling (is that who it is?) illustrations? I think illustrating common flaws is incredibly valuable. I would love it if we could figure out a way to do that.

My broody quit! Day 17 tomorrow and she quit! Argh!

Bad Emily, very bad! I have the three eggs in the brooder on a slightly warm rice bag waiting for the Hova to warm up. Darn it, I didn't want to brood babies inside this time of year again!

I need a Del pullet or three to replace layers I lost this year, including my Delaware hen, Maxie.

That stinks Cyn! Wish you were close, I'd bring ya over one of my girls to surrogate! Yeah, brooding inside is going to be a pain, and I said I wouldn't do it again...but here I am with 16 new babies...doing it again!

Yes, I'm sorry, in all the stress, I forgot to say congrats on your new babies! Gee, maybe I should see if the feed store has some fuzzy butts I can add to these. Well, no, better not. If these don't hatch, I don't need to brood anything. If only one hatches, I need a pal for it, IF they still have some chicks.
