Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Poor girl! She is gonna need something to keep her warm!

Kathy, DH took one look at your pictures and said if there were no Dels at Ohio to buy, I could get NH's if they looked like yours!
BEAUTIFUL, look at those bodies!!!! I like your plan, too. Keep some of those lines pure.

Ok i am off computer for one day and you guys add pages worth! LOL. Kathy i know i am behind the times here but WOW those New Hampshires are so pretty. Makes me glad that my girls have that in their background!

I went to an auction this weekend and ALMOST came home with a rooster. Low and behold a little auction here in Ohio - always lots of birds - but someone was auctioning off 4 DEl roosters - one in particular looked nice according to whati have read - correct barring and all. I just got nervous and didnt do it only to watch them go for $1.25 a piece! Same person ironically was auctioning New Hampshires but nothing like the ones we see here!

Oh WOW nifty. Can't help but feel sorry for her. I have a Marans hen that does the same thing. Blows almost her whole coat in a week or 2, she was so stressed out, she just hid in the hen house the whole time and didn't come out.

Hello... someone has mentioned that my new bird is a delaware... I think i it could be a mix based on its markings and not sure if it is a brahma mix or delaware mix and thought I would bring it to some delaware experts. The markings are not 100% consistent with hen or cockeral... so please tell me this is a hen!! it is thought to be around 6=9 months of age.

I've a quick question. Anyone have a Del that lays purple spotted eggs? I have one that does, she's a WNY girls and the ones she's laid the last couple times are very large. I've got one today and it's going into the bator. She's at least two so I don't know how much longer she'll be laying.
