Sydney, I think he's a beautiful boy! Is he sweet? Does he come when you call to him? How old is he now?

I do so love the boys. I have four mutts myself and wouldn't trade a single one of them for a purebred! They're all such good boys. Nothin says loving like a cuddle from the boys!!

Now, I said I wouldn't trade any of my boys....but that doesn't mean that I would turn my nose up at an additional purebred boy!!

I am trying my best to start a flock of Deleware, but luck just isnt with me. I had 25 eggs due to hatch tommorrow, but I accidently left the incubator unplugged for 3 days and suspect i have lost the entire hatch. I posted in the WTB section looking for more eggs, but as yet to have anybody respond. For that reason, I am asking here if anybody has any Deleware eggs available for sale. I am wanting to start with a good line of breeder stock, as close to SOP as I can find. If you have what I am looking for, PM me the details and I will get back to you.

Thanks
Bill

Oh Bill! How heartbreaking!

So sorry to hear that you probably have lost all of them. And all the more sorry that I can't help you out in this department. I hope you can find some good eggs soon. Better luck to you on your next effort.

Actually, this was my second hatch gone bad, I had gotten a bunch of Eggs from Speckledhen and due to hatcher conflicts, (different hatch dates)I only hatched one chick. Cynthia gave me another chick and it looks like I have a girl and a boy, maybe. The person I got the second batch of eggs from has her birds on wormer med, she has offered to send more eggs, but I'm not sure how the worming will effect the eggs. Any advise about that would be appreciated.

Some have been getting more insistent about napping up on that lil perch thingy I made them... Sssoooo... I walked out into the forest and brought back some Myrtlewood limbs and made a real roost, Yesterday:

I hope they enjoy it!

Bill, wormer shouldn't affect the hatch, as Pine Grove said. I wish my two were laying so I could give you a few more eggs, but Georgie decided she deserved a nice extended vacation for her molt and Ellie only lays about every other day at this time--she is molting a bit, too.

Horizon, I bet your kids love that roost!
