I am lined up to get 24 hatching eggs from joletabey in early April and 18 chicks from Paul Harter in Missouri (don't know the ETA yet). I am excited to get an opportunity to work with this breed and to start with such a good stock! I will certainly be leaning on everyone until I better understand what I need to be looking for in a Delaware. I hope that you all don't mind!

I will be ordering the Standard of Perfection book soon after I get my chicks. In the mean time, I have plenty of expenses in trying to get myself ready for their arrival!

Oh, and while I am thinking of it, can anyone recommend a good flashlight for candling?

Shnuggles is absolutely pifitul

I was painting coops earlier, and he did his usual stalkin me around the yard. He came to check things out a couple times.. walked off, come back and up he went, jumped up on my shoulder, got his feet settled and nestled his lil rotten self down just as relaxed as can be

Made paintin a bit slower, but he sure enjoyed himself

He supervised me painting all 4 coops even!!! Crazy boy!
