Shelley,
He looks like a nice big boy to me. I'm not a good one to critique, as I am still trying to figure out how to interpret the SOP wording! I'll just say, he looks good to me! I really like your pictures, too! Hope you stay with us on this thread, and join in!

ETA: Oh, you edited, and added a hen. Oohhhh, I think she is lovely!

Shelby- your roo is majestic looking! And it looks like he has great barring in the tail feathers! I think the legs could be a brighter yellow, but that may be your camera. The angle on his wings looks correct. I cannot see how many points on his comb- I think for 6 months he looks pretty filled out - is he bigger now?
And welcome to this thread- good to have another Dellie lover show up!

Do you have any hens?

Gracie is very feminine, Cynthia, and I am glad you got an egg! I have one like that, that is very light, but she is SO sweet and I love her to death - Cetawin is right, looks like Cannonball, that kind of sweet dovelike look!

Laney, I am sorry about the eggs- hope it doesn't end up being a lot of effort on your part for nothing. . . .

Thanks joletabey! The color of my roo's legs in the first pic are the true color...the second pic of him looks a little pale. I'm rather proud of him...but he does have an extra point on his comb.

But he does a terrific job of protecting his ladies, and he's very sweet and docile towards me and my 4 year old son. He has filled out more over the past couple of months...I'll try to get some updated pics soon. Right now, with all of the snow on the ground, no one wants to leave the coop for picture day!

These are my first "real" Dellies

and I'm quite pleased with them. I plan on getting some good quality eggs from a different breeder this spring so as to get some new blood into my flock.

Beth, Janet said that Gracie has the best comb of any chicken she's seen out of her lines.
